Specifically in Malaysia, we celebrate a ton of celebration coming from different religions and races. The most popular celebrations would be Hari Raya for the Malay, Chinese New Year for Chinese and Deepavali for Indian. The fun part is even you are not part of the race, you can still celebrate it with your friends or colleagues who are from the culture.

Each celebration has their own traditional costume worn to indicate the cultural identity. For example, we have kebaya during Hari Raya and Cheongsam during Chinese New Year.

Thus, when you are invited to their house to celebrate it, it is best for you to wear appropriate traditional costume that matches the celebration.  This is the correct time for you to rent it at any shop that provides the service and dress up on those stunning Cheongsam or Jubah.

The best part is when you actually calculate the normal price of a cheongsam and the price for rental, you can save up to 47%. Now, you can save up your money and no more awkwardness every time you go to a different cultural event.

#2 Formal Dinner

You have been invited to a luxurious formal dinner and it is your first-time coming to such event. As you are feeling excited and thrilled about it, you realize that you actually do not possess any formal dinner attire that is suitable to be worn, and by that time you just know you have to search for it. A smarter decision would be to use a costume rental service.

It all depends on what kind of restaurant you would go, as their dress codes may vary with one another. For casual attires, you might have no issue with that but not all men would have a full set of suits or as for women with ravishing gown when it comes to formal dress attire.

#3 Wedding Ceremony

Mentioning dress code on your wedding invitations iswedding dresses often encouraged. Why? It ensures your event stays as formal or as casual as you want, and it’s helpful for guests to know exactly what is expected of them for attire. But in this case, I am focusing on the bride and groom and not the guests. Usually people hire a designer to make the wedding dresses for them according to their theme.

However, there is no harm if you decide to rent your wedding dresses because after all it is still the same as the tailored one. You can do the same thing with a rented costume plus; it can save your wedding cost a lot more! Considering that you only going to wear it once in your lifetime, renting is actually not a bad idea but if you are planning to marry twice, it is a whole different story 😉.

#4 Winter Vacation

When you decide to go on a winter vacation overseas, you might want to search up for winter clothing because those sweaters or regular jackets are not going to keep your body warm. However, it is quite expensive for people to buy it because a regular winter coat you can find at local store usually cost upwards of RM300. It becomes worse when you realize that if you buy it you can only wear it once because winter is only going to happen once in a year.

For Malaysia, winter clothing is completely unnecessary for you to keep. Storing them takes up a lot of space since they are larger and bulkier and the risk of being damaged by pests or humidity is very high.  That is why it is ideal to rent instead of buying this type clothing.
